One Verse A Day – Surah Al Maidah Verse 76 – Quran English Translation

Surah Al-Ma’idah (Chapter 5), Verse 76 of the Quran is in Arabic and can be translated into English as follows:

“Say, ‘Do you worship besides Allah that which holds for you no [power of] harm or benefit while it is Allah who is the Hearing, the Knowing?'”

This verse is part of a larger context where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is instructed to convey the message of the oneness of God to those who associate partners with Him. In this particular verse, believers are encouraged to question those who worship entities other than Allah, emphasizing that these entities have no power to bring harm or benefit to the worshipers. It underscores the concept of monotheism and the futility of worshiping anything or anyone other than Allah. The verse highlights Allah’s attributes as the All-Hearing and All-Knowing, emphasizing His omniscience and awareness of all things.
