๐ Surah Al-Anfal 8:44 | Divine Perception and the Will of Allah
In Surah Al-Anfal, Verse 44, Allah says:
โAnd [remember] when He showed them to you, when you met, as few in your eyes, and He made you [appear] as few in their eyes so that Allah might accomplish a matter already destined. And to Allah are [all] matters returned.โ (Saheeh International)
This powerful verse reflects Allahโs divine intervention during the Battle of Badr. According to Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Allah caused both the believers and disbelievers to see each other as few in number. This illusion encouraged both sides to proceed to battle โ yet, the outcome was already decreed by Allah.
โถ To the believers, the enemy looked manageable.
โถ To the disbelievers, the Muslims seemed weak.
This was divinely orchestrated to fulfill Allahโs ultimate plan: victory of truth over falsehood.
The verse concludes with a reminder: “To Allah all matters return.” This affirms that Allah controls all destinies, in battles and beyond.
